According to Miss Chan, music is more than just notes and rhythms; it's a language that speaks to the soul. She believes that music can deliver messages and emotions to the listeners, and this is the “heart” of what she teaches her students.

Throughout the school year, Miss Chan always makes sure that her students have the opportunity to shine. The bands will perform in winter and year-end concerts, participate in music festivals, and attend workshops from famous universities and adjudicators. The school's choir will even perform at Richmond City Hall for Remembrance Day this year again.

Miss Chan's instrument repertoire is impressive, as she's able to teach a variety of instruments, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums, percussion, and piano. Her goal is to help each student become skilled in their chosen instrument.
