Mr. Thor's Thoughts on Metalwork

Writer's picture: TimmyTimmy

Mr. Thor is Palmer’s instructor for the metalwork subject. He is incredibly experienced on teaching and a lot of students love him. During the interview with Mr. Thor, he described the subject in his own perspective.

**This is based on Mr. Thor perspective, not Timmy Palmer Reports**

Firstly, Mr. Thor introduces a variety of fields within metalwork. An example is crafting industrial kitchen equipment for restaurants and laboratories. The students will be working with stainless steel for possible clients or personally. Additionally, there is ironwork where students will be designing and constructing bridges or reinforcing existing buildings with concrete and steel.

He tells the interviewer that metal workers play a significant role in the society. There is a wide range of careers to choose from whether it is architecture, construction, blacksmith, gunsmith, pewterer, etc. So, if you are considering metalwork as your elective field of study in Palmer currently or in the future, don’t be worried about any limit of careers when you graduate.

He summarises the interview by stating the basics of working with metal whether it’s just basic cutting, burning or whatever. Even though the subject might sounds difficult for the general students, once you understand and keep listening to the instructors, everything will be fine.
