Computer studies and programming may seem like a complex and scary field to study in Palmer, but it's all about understanding how to design websites through programming. If you are curious about what computer studies involves, here's a glimpse into the world of web design and coding in Palmer Secondary.

Students are taught the “art” of creating website designs using programming. A bunch of students in the class always questions Ms. Leung, "What exactly does this mean?" Basically, it’s about using your knowledge of specific coding languages to make websites appears and function the way that overall viewers from online traffic will enjoy and stay.

One of the most challenging parts of these courses is problem-solving. Imagine you're building a puzzle where every piece is a line of code. You must figure out how to arrange these pieces to create the final product. It's doing exactly that, but one tiny mistake in the codes can destroy the website. Even the smallest mistake, like a simple typo, can crush your progress. This means that you need to pay insane attention to every single line of code. However, it's all part of the learning process here.

If you're interested in computer studies and web design, just know that it's all about learning how to code to create appealing products (it’s not as complicated as it seems to). While it may be challenging sometimes, it's a highly rewarding field that allows you to gain problem-solving skills while receiving the juice (the money of course)
