Concert Band Proud to Represent Palmer in the National Stage Once Again!

In last year’s music festival in Whistler, Palmer’s concert band overcame many skillful schools’ performance and received gold honor in the entire event. They are invited and will be advancing to the Canadian National MusicFest in University of Toronto in May of 2024. The competition will be another level and of course, the repertoire of songs will be insane as well.

The band this year has many current and new performers from grade 9-12 playing a variety of instruments such as flute, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, percussion, and more. Even though our experience level will not be the same, but the chemistry between us will lead the way and fuse the students into a group.

Before the national music festival, we will have concerts on the Remembrance Day Assembly, some time before winter break, and 2 jazz music festival across British Columbia.

This might be a challenge for the students but as a band member myself, I believe in my classmates and Ms. Chan’s ability to overcome of anything we will be facing. We are proud to represent Palmer, maybe even Richmond, to perform in the national stage and it’s going to be a fantastic and enjoyable learning experience.
